Dorfman currently provides operational guidance for ProspEquity Partners. He completed a 24-year career as operations and manufacturing head for multi-plant business units supporting the Nestle Professional North America and Nestle USA Retail Beverage business units, as well as the manufacturing organization for Nestle Canada. As a member of their leadership teams, he directed manufacturing, engineering, quality management, capital planning, supply chain, and product development.
Dorfman gained a reputation for strong leadership as well as solid strategic business thinking and, after retirement, continued to provide support to the Nestle Professional business in developing its long-term business planning process and aiding the strategic plan for its manufacturing capabilities.
Prior to Nestle and after graduating with highest honors from Drexel University with a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Dorfman gained significant experience in operations and manufacturing management, beginning his career at Procter & Gamble in processing, packaging, and distribution in the soap, food, and juice product categories.
He then joined three others at Red Cheek, a small juice company in Pennsylvania, and helped orchestrate a management buyout of the company and operated as a co-manufacturer of juice products for leading national branded companies.
